The time has come. Your three ships are loaded, the crew is ready, and the course has been determined. You have learned something of Maps and Navigation. You are ready to set sail for Virginia.
The voyage will be long. You will first sail south to the Canary Islands, off the African coast. After taking on fresh water and provisions, you will sail due west cross the Atlantic to the West Indies. There you will spend time regaining your strength and replenishing your supplies before sailing to the mainland of Virginia.
You will need to keep a careful log of your voyage by recording the latitude and heading of your ship.
Make sure to have your Navigation Log. Examine it carefully before beginning. Keep accurate readings.
